What: virtual styling sessions, private showroom tours, 3D virtual stores
Where: the brand’s entire sixty-five markets, spanning six continents.
With a retail landscape disrupted by quarantines, social distancing and temporary closures, BoConcept has had to rethink the way it delivers its primary service offerings:
Virtual styling sessions
BoConcept already offered its global interior design service through in-store and/or -home consultations. Now consumers can hold styling sessions with their local interior designer via video call.
Consumers can get personalised styling advice, from how to style a sofa to an entire apartment, including mood boards and 3D visualisations; the latter typically requiring the consumer to show their space. In regions where stores are open, consumers can also use this facility to take virtual guided showroom tours with a local sales consultant or interior designer.
Private showroom consultations
The brand also adds the option of enjoying exclusive access to a showroom within or outside of normal trading hours, allowing consumers to experience the collection free from other customers. Be it private or normal showroom trading, staff will of course follow local government guidelines and recommended social distancing.
3D virtual showrooms
BoConcept has partnered with Matterport Inc. to create a 3D virtual tour of the brand’s impressive Lyon store in France. The experience, which is accessed via the website, gives consumers the opportunity to explore by room, or to simply walk through the store’s vast floor space. Visitors can also click products within the tour to learn more and shop. [delete previous line if not applicable to your region].
Danish first-mover
The brand was a first-mover in its industry to initiate virtual styling solutions, with roll-outs starting in mid-March. The innovation is testament to how the brand and its customers value BoConcept’s 10+ year-old interior design service, a brand pillar that BoConcept will continue to focus attention on for many years to come.
“As consumers spend more time at home, more are seeking help to enhance their living spaces; a growing appetite we can satisfy with our vast assortment and interior design service. However, we know some consumers will be hesitant to come to store. Our new virtual solutions allow us to continue delivering the expert guidance our customers love and trust,” says Michael Linander, Chief Retail Officer, BoConcept.
