INGREDIENTS (8 servings)
Combine milk, cream, cinnamon, vanilla bean, vanilla seeds, and nutmeg in a saucepan. Slowly bring the mixture to heat. Once boiling, remove from the heat and allow to steep.
In a large bowl beat egg yolks and sugar until combined and thickened. Slowly add the milk while whipping until the mixture is combined and smooth. Add bourbon or rum and refrigerate.
Before serving, beat the egg whites until soft peaks form and gently fold in the refrigerated mixture. Garnish your eggnog with freshly grated nutmeg.
