A Scandi sofa expression

The Scandinavian style has proven to be forever trendy yet evolving. The combination of minimalism and functionality in cosy settings have long been a recipe for success. Lately the bright colours that one normally associates with a very Scandi design has evolved to incorporate warmer hues that add cosiness and personality to the expressions.

Working with this trend as a starting point, interior designer, Marianne Kleis, has worked in a toned scheme. She has coordinated materials and brought in nature through oak, marble and skin. The design is very textured as evident in for e.g. the Lazio fabric on the Bermuda footstool. Together the composition offers an honest, approachable aesthetic that make the sofa the heart of relaxation.

"Working with Scandinavian expression, it's important to think functionality and accessibility. Here I've ensured warmth and cosiness in a timeless look that invites Hygge through natural materials and warm colours. The Bermuda footstools can be moved around and used as a footrest, extra seating or even as an additional table."

Styling tip
Use clear whites and the colours of nature to bring a sense of authenticity and tranquility into your home.
