Company: Ronald McDonald House in Graz, Austria
Project type: Apartment rooms
Challenge: The rooms are being used for cancer patients that are going through cemotherapy which meant that special considerations had to be made when furnishing the rooms. All upholstery could not be in fabric but had to be in leather, so the furniture can be cleaned easily. Furthermore, the theme of the Ronald McDonald house is ‘Forest’ and it should make the children and parents feel at home from the moment they step into the room.
In cooperation with the architects, we managed to work out a colour concept with the existing BoConcept leather colours and a few easy-to-clean fabrics. We chose a natural Danish style for the furniture to fit the forest theme and the Danish BoConcept look suited the house very well.
