Estoril

ESTORIL is a semi-aniline leather made from European or Brazilian cow hides. ESTORIL has undergone a slight correction of the grain leaving 90% of the natural grain intact and most hallmarks visible. The surface has only received a thin layer of color, not enough to close the pits, meaning that moisture and heat are transferred into the leather. ESTORIL requires more maintenance than a corrected leather as it is more sensitive towards liquids, dirt etc. ESTORIL is high-quality leather with a soft and comfortable seating comfort. Over the years ESTORIL will develop a beautiful patina. Ideal if you appreciate the beauty and characteristics of a natural leather, but prefer less maintenance than an aniline leather.

Materials:

  • Composition: Semi aniline leather, 90% natural grain, 1.4 mm thick (average)
  • Leg/base: polypropylene
  • Armrest: top: 28 kg/m3 CA PUR foam, inside: 25 kg/m3 CA PUR foam
  • Back: 28 kg/m3 CA PUR foam, 30 kg/m3 CA HR foam
  • Frame: Solid pine / plywood /particle board/ 21 kg/m3 CA PUR foam
  • Seat: 28 kg/m3 CA pur foam and 35 kg/m3 CA HR foam and poly wadding
  • Suspension: Nozag springs metal
  • Fabric lining: Non-woven fabric (90g/m2)

Finish

  • Leg/base: lacquered

Soft all around

The inside frame of the arm and backrest is cut out and covered with soft foam. This makes both the armrest and the backrest very soft and optimizes your comfort.

Modular

Carmo is a modular sofa system that can be bought as single modules. When doing so, the modules come fully upholstered with crocodile connectors, ensuring easy attachment and detachment.

Oversized piping

Designer Anders Nørgaard has used oversized piping to define the unique, squared shapes and give a very soft and cocooning look.

Low comfortable back

The low comfortable back has the same height as the armrest, giving a fantastic seating comfort, especially in the corner.

Invisible legs

With a height of only 5 cm, the legs seem invisible, making the sofa look almost floating. This adds a visual lightness to the design.
