Where Danish and Italian design meet
Milano brings together the best of Danish and Italian design. “The outside is clean, minimal, and precise – a controlled surface,” says Claudio Bellini. “But the interior is sensual, rich, and inviting. That duality is key. It’s how I see the Danish and Italian design sensibilities coming together.”
A life defined by design
The son of celebrated architect and designer Mario Bellini, Claudio has grown up with design. “I’d go to my father's studio. Seeing something go from an idea, from paper, to a real object; it was magical.” He has fond memories of his unusual family vacations. “While other families spent summers at the beach, we were off exploring the Middle East in a minibus – camping in deserts, visiting ancient ruins in August. That adventurous spirit shaped me.”
Architecture of the everyday
Blending an architectural approach with poetic form, CLAUDIO BELLINI Studio’s first design for BoConcept is more than a sofa – it’s a way of living. “As an architect, I imagine a landscape that you build at home,” says Bellini. “When I design a sofa, I don’t just think of it as a product – a place to sit. I’m interested in designing a place. The sofa plays a central role in shaping one of the most important spaces in your home: the living area.”
“Danish design is rooted in craftsmanship and process. There’s a transparency to it that resonates. Italian design was often more provocative - more about stepping out of the box.”
