Three Birds Renovation House 6 Reveal - Part 1
The talented trio that are Three Birds Designs are back at, this time mid-reno of Lana’s own house; they are transforming Lana’s 3 story family home on Sydney’s lower north shore into a Santorini inspired Mediterranean dream home. We’ve loved working with them on this project and the results are just spectacular!
Revealed first was the amazing parents retreat on the top floor, that included a serene bedroom, a striking bathroom with a blue fish scale tiles feature wall, wardrobe and spacious home office.
Lana & Bonnie visited our showroom and picked out the extendable Milano dining table to use as a generous office desk for her and her hubby – along with two of our blue quilted velvet Adelaide armchairs. The armchairs are so luxurious, the velvet is lush with the quilting giving it even greater depth and interest and interestingly helping link this space to the feature wall in the bathroom.

Next week’s reveal was the children’s rooms and children’s bathrooms. The kids’ space was just as sophisticated as the rest of the house and completely in keeping with the tranquil Mediterranean theme, with clever storage integrated so there is still plenty of opportunity for the kids to stash their favourite bits and pieces! Daughter Ruby will be heading into her teenage years soon, so she received a grown up space with soft blush tones, a dreamy hanging chair and our Cupertino Desk which has integrated storage – Ruby can use this desk right through her school years, it’s a generous size and a functional and beautiful design.

Episode 5 revealed the rest of the entry level, the innovative mud room, the hallway and the casual living room. The Mud room was somewhat of a revelation, with a dedicated generous space by the front door designed for storage, shoes and a beautiful bench seat, this traditionally highly functional space was put in the spotlight and made absolutely gorgeous, completely redefining the modern mud room.
The casual living space is a secondary living space – an area for relaxing and watching TV. As its right by the kid’s bedrooms, they will be the main users of the space, so the design was still clean and in keeping with the rest of the house’s style, but with a more playful touch. Our Osaka sofa took centre stage, the turquoise Napoli fabric bringing the bright hit of blue into the otherwise white space. The Osaka is amongst our most comfortable sofa designs, so it was a perfect choice for this zone. Our Stroc rug is a perfect off white to tie the room together, the pattern once again offering a visual break from all the white.

Perfectly streamlined and functional storage was needed for the TV wall, the Lugano hanging wall units offered just that. Wall mounting your TV unit really creates a sense of space and lightness, and matching the units to your wall allows the units to seamlessly blend in.
