Recently BoConcept New Zealand collaborated with renowned stylist, blogger of The Design Chaser and mother of two, Michelle Halford to introduce some of BoConcept’s latest pieces styled with Michelle’s experienced eye in her beautiful Scandinavian style home New Zealand home.
Showcasing a newly developed corduroy BoConcept fabric, the Napoli, Michelle chose the Carlton sofa designed by Anders Nørgaard, upholstered with the Napoli fabric in Forest Green. The fabric was inspired by the ambiance of beautiful understated homes of the late 60’s and early 70’s – and when combined with the minimal, clean lines of the Carlton sofa, we get a nostalgic, velvety look with a modern twist. As well as forest green, customers can also choose the Napoli in burgundy, golden beige, silver grey, stone grey, taupe and turquoise.
The next BoConcept item Michelle styled in her home was the new Copenhagen wall system designed by Morten Georgsent, a sleek, minimal and completely flexible wall storage system with a classic Scandinavian feel. This shelving system has been created around modern day living needs and can be used for a whole host of functions including dining, work or study, living and sleeping. It can be custom built to cater for every need and can be used for storage, multimedia, displaying items, reading material, a sideboard or a TV unit. Michelle’s home comes with lovely high ceilings so for her she had the option to build the units as high as she wanted.
Available in a number of colours and finishes, she opted for a typically Scandi look of matt white and oak veneer with ash grey fronts, which breaks up the colours and adds a subtle contrast. When it came to styling the wall system with accessories and trinkets, Michelle was impressed with the abundance of space available both for hiding unsightly items as well as showcasing beautiful unique objects that really bring a space to life.
